We no longer stock CBD products but this information may still be helpful as a basic guide which should be taken as relevant at the time of writing.
CBD e-liquid is a hemp-based cannabinoid product specially and specifically formulated for vaping with e-cigarettes. CBD e-liquid is also known as CBD vape juice and cannabis e-juice. It is considered a convenient and beneficial way of consuming CBD.
CBD is short for cannabidiol, and it’s one of numerous different compounds found in the cannabis plant, and unlike one of the compounds, THC (delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol), CBD has no psychoactive effects, and will not get you high.
CBD is a cannabinoid which is a name for a chemical which interacts with the cannabinoid receptors in your body. The body is capable of making its own cannabinoids too.
Each individual type of cannabinoid has a different effect, and the amount of each one present in cannabis varies with each specific strain of the plant. CBD strains are becoming commonly used in e-liquid, cosmetics and medical products.
CBD e-liquid is just the same as traditional e-liquid, but instead of nicotine, CBD extract is added. So you will still usually find the base fluids of vegetable glycerin (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) in varying amounts, plus flavourings (if it's a flavoured liquid), and then some CBD extract.
CBD e-liquid is also known as CBD vape juice and some people call it CBD vape oil, but it is not an oil.
Quality CBD e-liquids should have a uniform structure and should not separate into different layers.
You will see lots of CBD-related products available, not all are fit for vaping. Ensure you buy an e-liquid specifically for vaping as, for example, CBD hemp oil, is not designed for vaping, and nor is CBD oil.
CBD E-Liquid Strengths
The amount of CBD content in e-liquids will vary, and each product will state the level of its CBD content (in mg/ml), just the same as if it was a flavour with nicotine. Some users increase the strength of their CBD vape e-liquid over time, ie increase the milligrams, which is in contrast to many users on nicotine who are aiming to reduce their levels.
It’s not advisable to start your day on CBD as it may have the opposite effect of a cup of coffee.
What Does CBD E-Liquid Taste Like
In flavoured CBD e-liquids the taste of the CBD will not be evident as it will be masked by the strawberry, menthol, cherry, or whatever flavourings have been added, but in unflavoured e-liquids the taste of the CBD will be evident and can vary quite a lot, but it's often described as quite earthy, and some say grassy.
